Do you lock your doors whilst driving?

June 17th, 2013 in Car Safety

Yesterday I was shocked to read that a woman was forced to slam down on her brakes on the M25 when a maniac driver with a foreign number plate was tailgating her and undertook her on the motorway. The crazy driver then stopped his car in he middle of the fast lane, got out and punched her windscreen causing it to crack, he then got back in his car and drove off.

The poor woman was obviously left completely shaken but luckily unharmed. I just couldn't believe someone could be so aggressive especially in such a dangerous situation. It wouldn't even cross my mind that someone would actually get out of their car and punch another person's windscreen. It is a situation that all drivers should be warned about.

It is believed that the Mercedes is quite distinctive and other drivers may have seen it driving at speed on the motorway, if anyone saw this happen please report it, a situation like this is completely unforgivable and the driver should not get away with it.

Situations like this is the reason why I always lock my car doors when I am driving, you just don't know what kind of people are out there and who might try and get into your car. My sister's friend was driving home on Saturday night and stopped at a traffic light, whilst she was waiting for the light to go green a man ran up to her car and tried to open her door. Luckily her doors were locked but she was really shaken up by the incident and is still terrified about what could have happened to her.
